    Topics Include:
    -Basic Beekeeping Equipment
    -Bee Biology
    -Honey Bee Nutrition
    -Diseases and Pest
    12:00pm - 1:00pm - Lunch (available onsite for purchase provided from local boy scout troops)
    1:00pm - 3:30 pm - Live Honey Bee Field Classes (Weather Permitting)
    Field Topics Include:
    - Varroa Mite Inspection with Jeff Harris
    - Honey Extraction with JImmy Isonhood
    - Hive Inspection with Kip Isonhood
    - Making a Nucleus Colony with Jim Pennington
    3:30pm - 4:00pm - Questions and Answers Wrap up (Heritage Bldg.)

    IF YOU HAVE YOUR OWN PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT, PLEASE BRING IT. We have a limited supply of loaner gear, so use is on a first come, first served basis. (Hat/Veil and Gloves are all that is required).
    Registration Fees: Early Registration is $20. Walk-in registration is $30. (Walk-in seating is limited; please call (601) 540-­‐4344 or (662) 571-4288 on March 18 to confirm whether or not we have seats left)
    Parking: Please park at the MS Sports Hall of Fame Museum, located next door to the Ag Museum.
    Facilities: The course will be held in the Heritage Building, the first building on the left as you walk across the wooden bridge from the parking lot.
    Registration: Registration starts at 7:30 the morning of the course and the program will start as 8. Please arrive on time so that we can get everyone checked in. The course will end no later than 4:00 that day.
    Agenda: We will have morning lectures on beginner beekeeping, followed by a visit to the beehives on site if the weather permits. If you have a hat/veil and gloves, please bring them. We do have loaner equipment on site, but supplies are limited.
    Lunch: Local Scouts will be on-site selling hot dogs and drinks to raise money for their troop. There are also restaurants in the area, as well as a restaurant next to the museum.
    We will have door prizes, per usual at the end of the day.
